The Top 5 SNACKS for a Flat Belly

The 5 scrumptious snacks I share with you below not only super-easy to make, but they also have the OPTIMAL combination of fiber, fat, and protein that keeps your fat STORAGE hormone insulin under control while optimizing your fat BURNING hormones at the same time.

And when THAT happens, each day you are able to lose more and more of that stubborn belly fat that... drives most of us NUTS.

Ok, here they are:


 


 

1. First up is a FANTASTIC snack I call “with a smear”.

Take some hearts of celery and fill in the groove with organic almond or peanut butter. This snack travels well in Tupperware and makes a TERRIFIC pre-workout snack. The overall calories are low and this REALLY fills you up WITHOUT slowing you down. GREAT for “slow-release” energy.
 
2. Next up is one I like to call “The Double A", which stands for apples and almonds.

The apple is the PERFECT food for a snack, especially if coupled with some fat and or protein. Try combining it with about a dozen almonds. The fat and protein slows the entrance of the sugar into the bloodstream for sustained energy, and keeps hunger away.

3. Ok, this next one is one my all-time favorites – whey protein (but it needs to be used before exercise).

According to one French study, consuming whey before exercise supports fat burning and may help with gaining or maintaining lean body mass. I suggest a protein shake made with either water alone or with frozen berries. The berries add fiber, nutrients, some extra healthy carbohydrates, and make for a more delicious drink.

4. Here’s another goodie that I like to call “Cheesy Berry”.

Mix a bowl of berries with a piece of organic string cheese for a nice mid-afternoon boost of energy. Berries are loaded with phytonutrients, antioxidants and fiber, and are low in sugar. The string cheese has 8 grams of protein, some fat to keep hunger at bay, and only about 80 calories. Plus it’s an excellent source of calcium.
 
5. Last but not least is one I affectionately call “TG” – short for “too good” because it includes tasty turkey and delicious grapes.
 

This one is a PERFECTLY matched TRIFECTA of protein, carbs and low-calories to take the edge off your hunger.

Two suggestions:

First, go for fresh, organic turkey WHENEVER possible as the packaged kind is high in sodium and nitrates. And second, go for red or purple grapes as they have a higher antioxidant content.

 

Did you know that there are certain foods that literally INFLATE your fat cells? And if you stop eating them, your waist will automatically SHRINK.

Problem is, you probably don't know which foods cause this fat-inflating reaction, and you're probably eating many of them every day.
