Mother's Day..

Mother's Day.. It is one of those days that we should all stop and take notice of the special woman or women in our lives that have been there for us through thick and thin.

Whether it came from the Greek mythology to celebrate the goddess of maternity, or Ancient Romans to celebrate a spring festival 250 B.C.

The celebration of Mother's Day began in the United States in the early 20th century. The world took a day to celebrate mother’s day even though it may differ from a country to another, but we all want to celebrate this special occasion.

The twenty first of March is the day we chose along with the Arab countries as it marks the beginning of the spring season, the season of life, beauty and change.

Millions of dollars are spent every year for this occasion, thousands of phone calls are made, hundreds of flights taken just to let everyone celebrate this date as they like, but why?

None of us remember how we learned to use the spoon or walk, not even what the first word we pronounced was; but she does. She remembers the smallest things we did and why we did it, she brought us to life, endured pregnancy and birth with all its pain, with one thought on her mind.. her child.

We take for granted our mothers knowing that they’ll stay always by our sides no matter what we say or do, they are those secret angels God have sent us to enlighten our way through our whole life. If we want to count all the things our mothers did for us we won’t finish. In them is the power to create, to nurture, to transform, in them we find Life. A mom’s ultimate wish is that her children are safe and happy.

Motherhood was and will always be a sacred stage of life that changes the course of life; “When you are a mother, you are never really alone in your thoughts. A mother always has to think twice, once for herself and once for her child” – Sophia Loren. A Mom is a Mentor, Organizer, Taxi driver, Handyman, Educator, Referee… Mother is the name for God in the lips and hearts of little children.

Even when we don’t need you telling us what to do because you taught us to be independent, we still look for you in all the aspects of our lives. We are sorry for the nights you spent awake till we got back home, sorry for the small arguments we had over silly things that we know now you were right about, we are sorry for every tear you’ve shed over the hurtful words we said without thinking or even the act of negligence we did.

AlsoSimilar celebration is held in the christian church that's the Mothering Sunday.

We thank you for all that you have taught us we owe it all to you.

On this special day we would like to wish all the mothers the happiest mother’s day.

Especially the mothers whom lost their children, the mother who is struggling on her own to raise her children, the woman that is mothering without asking in return, the mothers that preceded us, the mothers that sacrificed themselves for this country.

Without you we wouldn’t be here, for that we thank you and are forever grateful for the gift of life that you gave.

Happy Mother’s Day.
